Keshawn is the CEO and Executive Director of Modern Kaizen LLC. Before being named CEO in April 2019, Keshawn was Fender’s Guitar Senior Operations Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager. He was responsible for all of the company’s continuous improvement processes and operations, including end-to-end management of the manufacturing process, and service and support in all markets and countries.
Keshawn proudly served his country as a USN Aviation Ordnanceman and retired in 2013 after supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is married to his lovely wife Yoko and is the proud parent of 3 children.
Keshawn has a broad and extensive background both personally and professionally. From working in the US Navy, to having collaborated with every industry ranging from Aerospace and banking to healthcare and manufacturing. He is also an avid academic researcher with relations to sustainability and process improvement in organizations. As a Mentor in with the University of Redlands School of Business, Keshawn continues to seek to help develop the next generation on a path to success. Keshawn is active in everything from veterans’ personal growth and progression to creating and maintaining a sustainable transition from military to civilian life.
John MacLaren has spent the past 37 years working in the United States and around the globe. First in the Naval intelligence field as a Cryptologist, then as a U.S. Navy SEAL and, after active duty, as a private contractor and business owner specializing in corporate development, personal protection, threat assessment, pedophile prevention and reporting, trafficked person retrieval, corporate and youth mentorship, and leadership development instruction.
John, also known as Coach Mac, is the lead mentor/instructor and National Director for the Team Eagle One Navy SEAL/SWCC/SPEC OPS Candidate program. Team Eagle One is a diversity program that delivers the highest successful active duty graduation rate of any Navy SEAL or special operations candidate preparatory program.
Coach Mac delivers mental health, mindfulness, safety, diversity, and leadership-biomechanics seminars around the country. John has developed one of the most advanced leadership and personal development programs available to active duty military, DEP candidates, executives, and first responders. He maintains a cutting-edge understanding of threat assessment and violence prevention and response plan implementation, passive & active lockdown techniques, and responses to active shooter scenarios. Each prevention and response system is tailored to fit your environment and your team’s core values and abilities. John is a certified violence prevention specialist, including rape and domestic abuse prevention and sexual assault prevention and reporting.
Born and raised in beautiful Southern California, Javier Vazquez is a Supply Chain and Lean Six Sigma Professional. His passion is service to family, people, and country. He is proud to have served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, including world-wide Embassy protection duty.
Father of three children and husband to a beautiful spouse, his hobbies include reading, exercising, sports (football, basketball, boxing), drinking craft beer, and traveling. Javier is a volunteer at heart and member of a few veterans organizations whose focus is to serve our veterans and our community.
Amani Brown is a native of Euclid, Ohio by way of Porta Antonino, Jamaica. He joined the United States Navy and attended Recruit Training Command (RTC) in July 2001, attended “A” School in September 2001. Amani is married to his lovely wife, Tamara, a Unites States Navy veteran from Manchester, Jamaica. He has one step son, Ceon.
At sea, he has completed eight deployments and served onboard the USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63), USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73), and the USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3). His job titles include Bomb Assembly, Magazine Leading Petty Officer, Bomb Assembly Team Leader, Bomb Assembly Quality Assurance Safety Observer, Elevator Supervisor, Ordnance Information System Database Administrator and Leading Petty Officer.
Ashore, he served at Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels) Pensacola Florida, Navy Munitions Command West Division Detachment North Island California, Navy Munitions Command Detachment Souda Bay Greece, and Afloat Training Group San Diego. His job titles include Crew Chief, Magazine Quality Assurance Representative, Ordnance Information System Inventory Manager, Magazine Supervisor, Magazine Leading Petty Officer, Command Leading Petty Officer, and Ordnance Handling Safety Assist Team Leader.
His personal decorations include eight Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, an Overseas Service Medal, Sea Service Medal, Recruiter Service Medal and numerous unit and campaign awards.
